I'm pretty sure it was Ryan White.

Yeah, Ryan White. There was talk that if he'd scored or played the entire game, anything he did would have been voided and the Habs may have had to forfeit the win.

The talk of a fine is purely speculative at this point, but if it happens it'll be a big one.

Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Anyone remember the last time a NHL team forfeited a game/win?

Leafs can tamper with the Sedin brothers, here's a slap on the wrist. The Blackhawks screw up "paperwork" with tendering RFA contracts, they get nothing. The Habs use an ineligible player for 3 minutes after a measly "paperwork" error, and they are most likely going to receive a 6 digits fine. A little of a double edged sword in this bush league.

I knew the HABS called up Ryan White while I was still at work, before the 5PM deadline, but some little white collar suit who was probably born with a platinum spoon in his mouth forgot to fax a piece of paper to the NHL explaining the call up.

I guess Bettman needs to pay for the debt he has incurred from the Coyotes....why not just ask for a multi-million dollar loan from the HABS....it's not like a Montreal guy bought the Pheonix team anyways.
