IP auto value in a trade...
Hey,
So a scenario has come up. I have a friend who has genuinely gotten Kevin Durant to sign 8 cards at a game last month. Saw the pics, know he was there because my brother went as well. He is now visiting Hong Kong and wants to trade me the In Person Autos of Durant for 2-3 GU cards in my bucket. Which I do not mind whatsoever...but I was curious to see if there is any so called trade value to this kinda deal ?
any opinion ?
thanks

If I knew for a fact they were real autos I wouldn't care about resale value. They'd go in my PC. If he's only wanting a few GU, I'd do it.

That's a pretty awesome deal to me!! Like other people said, since you know they're real, then you would have a good time keeping them in your PC. And if you ever want to sell them, getting them authenticated wouldn't be an issue.

Well, the problem is they'd cost $20+ shipping a pop to get authenticated, and I don't think they'd sell for that much

That's true, I would have to agree with you there. I guess perhaps further down in the future, if Durant pans out to be a Kobe or Lebron vs. a Tmac, then you might want to get it authenticated and sell. Either way, would still do the trade to keep as PC if you like Durant and don't mind IP autos.

Like others have said, if you know they are real, and they are just going into your PC, then do it! :-)

Id do it, and still pay to get them authenticated, to me its worth it in the long run, and its a good way to keep them protected.
