your favorite team & their all-decade squad
Who’s your favorite team? And what’s their All-Decade team for the 2000’s?
Here’s mine… I’ve been a Laker fan for almost 30 years. These past 10 years have been a giant roller coaster, but it’s been well worth the ride. It started with 2 NBA Championships (3 if you count the 99/00 season) with Kobe & Shaq… then it started to go downhill when egos grew. The incident in Colorado didn’t help things, but they still made it to the finals that year with the help of Karl Malone & Gary Payton. The next season Shaq and Lamar switched coasts, Jackson took a break, and a new era began. Unfortunately, the Lakers didn’t make it to the playoffs for the first time in 10 years. The next two seasons were not much better as the Lake Show was knocked out of the playoffs in the first rounds.
Then just when you think it can’t get any worse, I heard that Kobe wanted to be traded. As a huge Kobe fan, I was disappointed and hurt. Luckily, Mitch Kupchak pulled off the steal of the century and acquired Pau Gasol. Since then, the Lakers have been back to the NBA Finals 2 more times. They’ve won another title. And now, they’ve picked up the interesting character known as… Ron Artest. With the off season signings of Lamar and Ron, along with Pau’s new contract, the Lakers are one contract short of securing the playoffs for the next few seasons. With that being said… here’s my Lakers All-Decade squad:
PG – Derek Fisher
SG – Kobe Bryant
SF – Luke Walton
PF – Pau Gasol
C - Shaquille O’Neal
6th Man – Lamar Odom

Great thread!
For the Wolves, I'd say:
PG Terrell Brandon (or Sam Cassell, but Brandon was here longer)
SG Latrell Sprewell (he was probably our best, even though he was only here for 2-3 years)
SF Wally Szczerbiak
PF Kevin Garnett
C Al Jefferson
And if I were to do the Celtics, it wouldn't look much different than their current starting 5...
