Sometimes a like high shipping fees and the one reason i do is because it scares a lot of bidders away and i end up winning the auction for cheap :D

Well it depends on how he ships the item. Priority with DC will cost about that much. Not sure if that is how he will send it.

Mike is a legit seller. I've bought from him multiple times on Ebay. In fact, I have one incoming. He uses new packaging materials and new toploaders or magnetic holders and team bags when he ships. No priority or insurance, but DC is always used. This is one seller I don't mind paying the higher shipping costs. Like others said, though, I factor in the shipping costs to my bids on all auctions.

Oh..I BELIEVE you..this was just one of the higher I ran across today was all.
That seller seems to be legit from what you say. It would probably help him more if he would state some of that in his wording.
What actually ticked me off the MOST was this:
I recently won a Marcus Camby card..and since I COLLECT him..I HAD to have it. Then I saw it.............UGGGHHH $3.95 shipping. SERIOUSLY!?!? Just make it $4..and get it over with..lol. THEN..I bid and win it for like..umm...I WANT to say..$8ish..so.. now we have $12 on a $15 bv card. OH well..like I said..I HAD to have it!! Now..I get my slew of packages in the mail and there's a HEAVY PWE. Hmm..I open THAT one up and lo & behold THERE'S the Camby card I paid $4 shipping..oh wait..sorry.. $3.95, sitting there in a PWE. Postage was 4 stamps.

I would have left a negative feedback in that case. I have no problem leaving negative feedback for that kind of stuff.

Oh c'mon now...that was "only" 2.25x what actual shipping was...lol
Unfortunatelt, $4 for shipping is cheap nowadays...but, USPS postage rates are going up too, so in turn, our prices have to go up.

Agreed. $6 is a little steep, probably would make me reconsider the purchase as well. Still, Ive seen ALOT worse. I should have posted it the other day but I saw some guy had a 97-98 UD Grant Hill jersey card with a buy it now price of $120 plus $39.99 SHIPPING!! Mind you, the card was coming from Korea but that still was crazy.

High shipping is one thing, but shipping in a PWE is unacceptable. I won't go as far as to give a negative, but will at least point this out in the feedback and give him one star on the shipping cost rating.

Shipping in a PWE is no good... but I guess I don't see what the complaint is as far as high shipping rates on eBay are concerned. The buyer pays X for a card. X is the sum of the winning bid and shipping. So if a guy is charging $10 to ship and you win the card for $5, what is the difference compared to winning the same card for $15 with free shipping? I could see why eBay would have a problem with it as their system is getting manipulated, but from a buyer's perspective it makes no difference.
The problem I've had with it is when people on this site want to buy "at eBay prices," which I don't have a problem with at all, but then choose to disregard shipping prices in hopes of getting a deal. A card that sold on eBay for $4 where the seller was charging $6 to ship doesn't mean the card is worth $4 on the market.
