Panini's Quality Assurance Replacement In.

UD has never done anything positive for me. They have never honored expired redemptions, they have replaced nice redemptions with trash, they have "compensated" me for multiple hits being shorted multiple times with packs of retail, and they have even sent my damaged cards back with packs of retail to make up for it. Never once has UD been anything but garbage for me. A couple 08 SPA patch autos I got straight from UD even came damaged. Their customer service sets the bar... as low as it could possibly be set.

I've had issues with Topps before, but nothing ever to the level of UD. No problems yet with Panini, but we shall see.

I've never had an issue with UD personally, i did have to wait 11 months for a rookie auto of F.Garcia but eventually got it with another card for the trouble which was a D12 sweet shot auto so i was happy, i never really looked forward to Panini taking over and was a little sketchy when going for my first box and my gut feeling was right so next time i will not second guess my judgment.

Man, that's a bummer! Sorry they couldn't provide you with something better. While not a bad card per se, I agree that considering what you pulled, you should have gotten more than that.

I'll probably get slammed for this, but i'd insist you check the boards for panini replacements, maybe yours wasnt good , but not everyone's can be amazing, Panini is the epitome of great customer service, replacing hits, replacing damaged cards, honoring expired redemptions, heck one member accidently damaged his own card and they replaced that for him, to trash them over this one incident and have everyone praise UD/Topps is laughable, i guess people forgot how Topps replaced every redemption no matter how good the player was, was with a Spud Webb Auto, or the fact UD has the worst customer service out there..

Give Panini a break, its there first year and they dont even get to start with any of the top stars aside from Kobe due to exclusive deals that were signed before they got there turn to produce Basketball cards...

I remember when I first started collecting in the late 80's, companies didn't have replacement policies. At least collectors are getting something. 1 in 15 cards used to have a big gum stain on the back of them, and all the corneres were dinged from the boxes being shuffled around. Times sure have changed.

All comments are welcome and you have a point to an extent, UD/Topps as mentioned before were horrible with there replacement/redemption process we all know that, (Dont forget about Isiah Thomas replacements from topps not just Spuds lol) but Panini is not new to the sports card industry they just acquired another license to produce another sport so do they really deserve the break you say i dunno

they know what they are doing, I didnt expect them to replace it with a Kobe auto or w/e just would have liked something worth the trouble and something at Least #/d if i knew i was going to be given a Base gu i would not have gone through the trouble of wasting postal money to send in there required information before they can process anything so dont get me wrong i will probably buy again from them in the future but for now i will take a back seat and just watch....
