So I pondered this long enough....

Ok so I see this everwhere...

such and such colector of such and such player 100/500 - 20%
which means the collector has 100 card of a certain player and there
is a total of 500 cards of that player made to date (in turn he has 20%
of each different card produced)
OK so I understand that 100%, but my question is...
Where do you find a site where you can type in a players name and
it then tells you how many cards there are of that player and lists
them out so you know which ones you have and which ones you
should still look for. I mean a site that starts with a "B" and ends with a "T"
does a decent job, but still doesnt list them all (like OPC blank backs, or more rare subsets /10 sometimes)
Just wondering where collectors usually go for this information??
does everone go to "B"...."T" or somewhere else???
Any comment would be greatly appreciated

The number will also vary depending on what is considered a "card". Some people include team issue sets while other do not count them. Others include monir league cards, press plates, promo cards, error cards, etc...

Yeah basically Beckett is still the best one out there, though the number of omissions is growing by the day. It took them a week to post the new Black Diamond checklists, and when they did they didn't add the Ruby, Gold, and 1/1 parallels. The best thing to do is to take their list and add cards you know exist yourself to it. Takes about 5-10 minutes on an Excel spreadsheet depending on the player.

you can also go on upperdeck.com and do a search by player and it will give you a list of all cards that are listed on the set checklists. ITG cards wouldn't be included, but it's a good start. I know when I made my Stafford checklist it took me at least a week to get it all set, and I probably spent 2-4 hours on it every day.

I can't imagine how tough it would be to build one for a player like Brodeur or someone like that.

Well said Richard this is what i did for my steen collection. Once you see things that arent on the list you add them. On the beckett list they had about 6 cards that either didnt exist or where never made as well. Also they STILL havent posted the ITG Superlative Franchises stuff its been out for over 3 months now too
