Former WNBA star Sheryl Swoopes playing in Greece
ATHENS, Greece (AP)—Former WNBA superstar Sheryl Swoopes will join Esperides for the rest of the Greek league season.
The 38-year-old Swoopes agreed to replace Lindsay Wisdom-Hylton, Esperides said on Wednesday.
According to the team Web site, Wisdom-Hylton, a forward who plays for the WNBA’s Los Angeles Sparks, decided to join Purdue University, her alma mater, as an assistant coach to the women’s basketball team.

This news is about 10 days old, but it's still relevant, since she hasn't played in many, if any, games yet. Pretty cool that she'll still play for a little bit, even if it's not in the WNBA.

LOL, no, WNBA news will never be relevant. I'm pretty sure Cleveland had a WNBA team, and no one cared.

We female athletes are often denigrated by people from both genders. Glad Sheryl can still find a place to play regardless of who finds it relevant; I know she loves the game.
