Ahmadinejad: 'Iran will deliver telling blow to global powers on Feb. 11'
'Iran will deliver telling blow to global powers on Feb. 11'
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says the nation will deliver a harsh blow to the "global arrogance" on this year's anniversary of the Islamic Revolution...
...Ahmadinejad said that in the three decades of its history, the Islamic Revolution had inspired some great developments in the world.
The Iranian president made the remarks as the 31st anniversary of the Islamic Revolution approaches.
Iranians are expected to pour into the streets on February 11 to celebrate the occasion in public rallies across the country, as they have done annually over the past three decades.
Well...it's hard to know how worried to be about this, but I don't think "quite a bit" would be overstating it.

Considering the jellyfish administration that we have in place right now, Iran can pop nukes inside of the US border and our response will be to apologize for our eroneous ways and send them $100 million in aid.

I don't worry about Iran much at all. If they were about to do something I am sure Israel would get them first.

I have some concern but if the Iranian gov't is behind any type of attack I believe the country will pay a heavy price.

Maybe they'll destroy each other and take the rest of the Middle East w/ them.

I'm not really worried about an attack on American soil. Perhaps an attack on an American interest overseas. But even an attack on Israel would be something to worry about. It wouldn't be a direct attack on America, but the repurcussions would most definitely affect us greatly.

But that is what I am saying Iran won't attack Israel. Isreal will get them first.

Ol' AhmadRashad or whatever his name is can play the role of the would-be Islamofascist martyr just squealing with glee at the thought of painting a local town square with his entrails, but I don't buy it. He can go on and on about how he'd be just delighted to resign himself and half the Muslim world to death if it meant getting rid of Israel in the process, but I don't buy it. He has to say stuff like that so the wackos who really run things over there and the wackos in the streets will like him, because they DO want those things. But this guy...he's the one in the big, comfy chair. He's the one swimming in earthly luxury that "true believers" are supposed to hate. I don't believe him when he says he'd be happy to give all that up. I don't think he really believes paradise and 72 virgins await him, because if he had, he would have goaded Israel into destroying his country the day he first took office. Sure, he might be willing to sacrifice any number of Iranian citizens for the Islamofascist cause, but as soon as his own neck crosses the chopping block, he's going to run back up to the top floor of his ivory tower, jump into bed, pull the fine silk linens over his head, and whimper. And he knows that the instant Israel detected anything flying over their border, they would instantly send their entire nuclear arsenal flying in all directions. You know, the old "You might take us out, but we're taking all of you with us" defense. While there may be some Islamic leader in the future who is stupid enough to do that, I don't think he will.

Good point...I guess the question is just how crazy is he. And I don't know the answer to that.
AhmadRashad...I like that.
