    Bay question.............

I am somewhat new to selling on the bay. I have a situation where I sold a GU card. The card was exactly in the condition as in the picture. I now get a message saying there is a crack down the middle. What should I do. Am I still responsible if it was damaged in transit or do you think they are trying to pull a fast one on me? All input would be appreciated, thnx everyone

Ebay/Paypal normally sides with the buyer in those cases.

Yes you are still responsible for the card until they get it in hand. It is not fair if it was damaged in transit but it does happen. You could have them send it back and just refund the money.

Is it normal for cards to get damaged in transit? I've sent and received tons of cards and never had one damaged. I know, it may happen but I asked them for a scan. We'll see. I sent it in a top loader and bubbler......................ugh

either they are pulling something on you, or they creased it to get their money back, if it was in perfect shape, there is no way there can be a crease with a bubble mailer and top-loader. You just need to watch out for this ™™™™...

Thats what I was thinking and I'm sure when I see the scan it will be out of the sleeve and top loader. I really don't see how it could get creased? This sucks!

No it is not normal but it does happen. I have sent many cards out as my feedback shows and never had an issue with them but i have received damaged cards due to sorting machines. The sorting machines have no mercy on top loaders or bubble mailers, i can eat them up very easy but it is rare.

Well, from what it sounds like, only the card is damaged. So how can the card get cracked if the top loader is intact? She brought up my listing saying that the card was in nrmnt mint condition..............as the world turns.

It happens, either the person is pulling something or it did get damaged in the mail. Either way as a good seller I usually just refund them the money if they send it back to me.

Hopefully it was a low end GU and you only lost out on a couple of bucks!

Did you tape the toploader? Cards can get damaged since they do slide out if not sealed well. I've received my share of these, doesn't matter if they are in bubblers or whatever.
