I'm for Russia FYI... and your right Canada had the advantage the entire night but would the swiss have had a better shot to win if there would have been another OT?

With how badly they were being outshot I would say No. But then again you cant really predict that kind of thing a deflection, bad bounce etc anything could happen just like on Switzerlands 2nd goal.
FYI I wasnt calling you out on what team you cheer for was just reminding you of the miracle on ice that occured in 1980 when a WAY less skilled American team upset the Soviet power house.

It's all good but from the start of the shootout did you think that Canada would lose it? I dont think the swiss had any chance at winning that and im sure that any swiss fan would have taken an extra OT and any canadian fan would rather have seen a shootout? Right?

After that game tonight BeeZer, you might want to hope that Jonas Hiller is somehow moved from the Ducks if Pogge ever wants a shot with Anaheim...because Hiller just showed what he was really made of tonight.

i didn't see the game but Canada lost to Switzerland in the last Olympics (Gerber shut them out) so this is an improvement.
i'm sure it was hard for Canada to focus on this game with the US coming up next.
btw, the US didn't play that well against Norway. the 2nd period was pretty bad and they tacked on 3 late goals but Miller had to make some great saves.
Canada beat Norway 8-0.
i still think Canada has the edge against the US - frankly between Russia, Finland, Sweden, the Czechs and Slovakia it's going to be a fun medal round and i think it's entirely possible (although not likely) that neither Canada or the US medals.
i think Canada will medal and i don't think the US will - but it wouldn't surprise me to see Canada get beat before the gold medal game. not because they aren't the most talented team (because they are) but it just takes a hot goalie and there are some great goalies in this tournament.

Ehhhh, id like to see Pogge get a shot at backing up Hiller first. But ya Hiller made some MONSTEROUS saves.

Exactly and I think of all the goalies in the tournament Ryan Miller is a guy that could do this to ANY of the top teams.

Easy Brodeur lovers! Brodeur had a solid game but let in a weak goal, that's all I am saying and my choice has always been Luongo. Maybe I am wrong, I guess we will see what Team Canada decides...I personally don't care who's in goals as long as we win!

Im proud of the boys no matter what. I also prefer Luongo for some reason i just feel more secure with him in net.
