Best Trade Made?
Which trade made before the deadline do you think was the best one? It can be which trade you think was the best for both teams, one team that made out really well in a trade, or anything else.
My personal favorite, although it might not be the best, is the Kings getting Modin for a conditional draft pick. If he stays healthy and plays up to his ability, he could be a huge addition for them.
What are your thoughts?

I think the trade of Colorado - Phoenix for Peter Mueller-Wojtek Wolski was great for both teams !
Mueller had his first game and first goal yesterday, looking good too !
I think Mueller will be able to develop better in Denver.
Washington are a great pretender at the Stanley Cup with all the trades they made. Really impressed ! Really impressed by the Coyotes Phoenix too ! Wow, this team got really better !

Yeah, the Capitals and Coyotes were definitely the best two teams when it came to trading.
I agree that the Mueller for Wolski trade was really good for both teams. I think in the end though, Mueller will end up being a better player than Wolski.

Uhmm, i'm not so sure of that.. Wolski gets better each year and i think he will become a 25goals scorer/year.. Around 65-70 points a year. This year he's really good and past years was not bad either ! Maybe Mueller will score more though. Young players seems to be well coached and trained in Denver. Will be good for Mueller there !

Hmmmm that's a pretty good point. Wolski has been the better player up to now, but I think that Colorado will help Mueller more than Phoenix will help Wolski.

Biggest winner - Philadelphia not biting into the ugly apple of Roloson or grossly overpaying for a guy like Turco or Vokoun. Yes they have goaltending woes, but I am glad they did not knee jerk react at the deadline and get bent over setting the team back further. Please spend money in the off season on a legitimate starter who is not past his prime or hoping to break out. It has been too many seasons with everyone else's castaways.

Yeah, I agree with you on that. Apparently when they tried to inquire about Vokoun, Florida wanted Jeff Carter. If they would have made a stupid deal like that, I would have definitely been more ™™™™™™ than I already was about them not getting some goaltender help.

I like the Caputi for Poni trade for selfish reasons. Poni is in my hockey pool and I'm in a close battle between 1st & 2nd so Poni playing with Crosby or Malkin is great for me and Caputi seems to be a good young prospect with some talent.
