Can someone please explain to me...

What exactly Beckett High BV represents? As I would figure it, beckett High BV would represent a card that could be graded as Gem 10, no? If not then what is it?

The Beckett High BV is the number the company comes up with when they get...well, "high".

On a more serious note, it's approximately the highest dollar value the card sold for on ebay, but it's extremely questionable...

But in theory, that should be the amount that an absolutely perfect card should be worth? Correct?

    No.

The 'HI' and 'LO' values are the opposite ends of the range a card typically sells at.

If a card lists for $60 and $100 as the LO and HI columns..... don't expect to find it selling for more than $100 ever, and don't expect it to sell for under $60 either.

No, there is a separate book that has a price range for graded cards. Generally the High end of the bv is the full retail price. While the low bv represents what you might be able to find the card for with extensive shopping. With e-bay, you generally find cards on the low end of things unless it's simply a hard card to come by or from an older set with a lot of followers.

Alright, perhaps I'm just missing it then. If the highest a card should sell for is lets say $100, then that specific card in PERFECT condition should never go for more than $100?

If it were graded a 10, it would probably sell considerably higher than the high of bv, depending on its population report.

You can find these books at your LCS most times. Or just look online, I believe it comes out quarterly? I could be wrong.

I guess this all comes back to BV not actually meaning a thing.
