I'll update this bad bear with pics by Wednesday. Yesterday brought a Robin Roberts signed HOF postcard with no fee. It looks awesome and really has reignited my ttm drive.

Thanks! I have tried to send to guys with solid ttm reps and are among my favorites. I am hopeful they all work out although some like the Snider and Winfield could be longshots.

As for the Schmidt addy, I'm keeping that one to myself. Reason being that he wrote a huge article about being hounded by autograph seekers and I don't want to get him buried in mail after responding favorably to my request(he very very very rarely signs for anybody).

Yesterday was a "game changing" ttm day for me. Prepare for a long post as this has kind of evolved into my ttm 'blog'. lol

First off I go to the post office in the AM and am told I have 5 returns waiting for me(I'm on great terms with both my local clerk and delivery woman) so I rush home for this epic mailbox full of goodies.

Received HOF postcards beautifully signed by Gaylord Perry and Phil Niekro(who also inscribed mine 'H.O.F.- 1997' and did not personalize it as he has been doing lately). The later even returned my LOR with an answer to my question. Two picturesque returns.

Received a HOF postcard signed by Dave Winfield inscribed 'HOF 2001' and a mini-plaque postcard with his website addy on the back. It looks like Dave kindly tried to rub off the gloss from my postcard and then immediately signed in heavy sharpie because it has little pieces of gloss in it and looks a touch smeared by it. I wiped off around the sig with a cotton cloth and it cleaned off all the excess crap. If the Perry and Niekro are 10s this is probably a 7-8 with is awesome from Dave.

Received what appears to be a beautifully signed Fergie Jenkins postcard inscribed #31 however the 'Jenkins' on the card ended up half on the postcard and half on this annoying piece of paper he jammed in with it asking me for the fee I had already sent with the postcard. 4-5 out of 10.

Received a horrifically signed Whitey Ford postcard signed in very faint very thin sharpie. Looks like if you send $25 he'll sign for you but he's going to make it look ™™™™ty. He wants he's $35 and he'll stick it to you if you come up short. 2-3 out of 10.

Still out- Sutton, Smith, Eckersley, Williams(Dick), Williams(Billy), Fingers, Gossage, Weaver, Irvin, Snider.

After yesterday's mixed bag and considering I have the bulk of guys that sign sent out I'm moving on from my HOF postcard project and beginning another.

I have a membership with the HOF. It came with the membership card(which provides great discounts from all over Cooperstown and the HOF website), a hat, some stickers, and a small book that guides you through the museum and its exhibits.

In probably my last auto project I am going to get this book signed by as many HOFers as possible. There is a beautiful two page picture of the HOF gallery that I am going to use as 'auto central'.

This morning I mailed it out to Bob Feller. The others I plan on ttming this to are:

Bobby Doerr, Lee MacPhail, Gaylord Perry, Phil Niekro, Robin Roberts, Goose Gossage, Rollie Fingers, Fergie Jenkins, Dick Williams, and Gary Carter.

These guys seem to be the foundation of HOF ttm and have decent track records of being quite efficient and "trustworthy". If any of you disagree or know better please let me know, or if you have anybody you want to add to this list. Monte Irvin is another person I am considering for this but am waiting for my HOF postcard to return in a timely fashion before I lean one way or the other.
