Sunday Notebook: Inauspicious Return for Chelios
By JEFF Z. KLEIN AND STU HACKEL
Defenseman Chris Chelios, a 48-year-old veteran of 25 N.H.L. seasons, played in his 26th last week. He was recalled by the Atlanta Thrashers from their Chicago Wolves farm team, where his plus-34 mark was one of the best in the American Hockey League. Chelios is the second-oldest player in league history; Gordie Howe played for Hartford in 1980 at 51.

Think he'll stick around till he's 52?

Hmmmm I wonder........
I still remember when he played for the Moose Jaw Canucks. Gawd that was an awful long time ago!Searching for: Jagr, Palffy, Stumpel, and Boyd

I don't know how some people are rolling their eyes or making fun when talking about Chelios being in the league, sure he is slower but he is one of the smartest defenseman out there and at 48 a better physical shape than any of us have ever been

Guess your old as well if you seen him play for the Moose Jaw.
His workouts that I read are unreal. I know being younger than him I could not put my body thru what he does. Kudo's to Chris I have nothing but the utmost respect for Chelly.
