Upper Deck replacement - how did I do?`
I bought the following redemption off e-bay on July 24, 2009, thinking there would be no issue in redeeming it since he's signed tons of stuff for Upper Deck since the release of that product and I've never heard of any issues with him not signing stuff:
PETER MUELLER
2008-09 UD BLACK HOCKEY LUSTROUS MATERIALS- AUTO DUAL JERSEY #ED TO 25 CD # LM2-PM
I redeemed the card and received the athlete commited to signing blah blah blah please be patient message, so I was patient. When 2009-10 UD Black was released, that was my cutoff point for being patient. I figured there must be a problem with that particular card for whatever reason, so on December 2, 2009 I requested a replacement via e-mail, indicating I collect Ovechkin and Toews.
Upper Deck's policy regarding replacements indicates the following " Upper Deck will process your request within 5-7 days. Please wait 3-4 weeks to receive your replacement package.
Apparently in Upper Deck's world 3 - 4 weeks means 3 1/2 months, as today the following card arrived:

How do you think I did? At least they supplied me with a card of one of the players I requested. The Mueller booked at $80 and I paid $20.50 for it - the Toews books at $100, but the patch is all-white. Perhaps I would be more excited about it if I didn't already have the card. I guess the ultimate test will be how much I get when I throw the card on e-bay, as I don't collect multiples of the same card. Overall I would conclude what they offered me was fair and I'm okay with it.
Cheers,
Tim

I think you did fine with the replacement. Upper Deck seems to be doing a good job with replacements recently.

Whats it with the SPA?
I asked for a replacement on a Lidstrom/Zetterberg OPC PRemier Dual Auto and got a Helm SPA Auto Patch /100, but mine had a better patch than the one I had, so im happy, but it seems like most of replacements are SPA :P

I had the opposite happen...I pulled an 08/09 SPA patch auto for Kyle Okposo and they said they were not going to make the card so I requested a replacement and they send me a Sidney Crosby Ice Scripts auto....boy was i pumped!

$20.50 for a Toews patch/auto... sounds like a steal to me.
