Question Show & Tell Contest Question: Change the ending date?

I have noticed how little traffic this contest has gotten and how many people have come in late with entries, typically on a Sunday.

I'll be honest, I personally would have made 4 or more entries in other categories but having it end on a Saturday night is an instant FAIL.

Most people are busy on the weekends with their families and start assimilating back to the everyday routine and "grind" Sunday night. Hence why most people have EBay auctions end Sunday because people are on their computers "catching up" with the weekends online events.

I know on Saturday night, or really any night I am at home with my family, the last thing I am doing is hanging on SCF.

I am always looking at this on a Sunday or Monday and going "Oh yeah, I could have entered such and such card". Oh well.

That's just my view. I think ending it on Sunday would have been much smarter, but hey, what do I know?

Would you say that is an accurate assessment? Thoughts? Feedback?

Oh yeah, you can vote too!

either way i believe they do, which i have a formal complaint about as its a very biased contest in my opinion

How can i, being a student, match up with someone whos making 100k a year? people who can afford any card they want compared to me whos got to hustle to get a mid end card. Its not fair to me quad point wise as i cant win any of these show and tell contests unless someone takes pity votes on me.

I just had to get that out there. Its not a fair contest to gain Race for the Quad points.

But back to your topic Barrie, ending on Sunday evening would definetly be a better idea

Sorry B. Didn't mean to come off bitter. Forgot the little lol sign at the end. Plus, I think this way benefits some people since like almost any card out of your PC beats so many others best cards

If it ends on Sunday or Saturday personally don't see the difference. You have 1 full week to enter. When the weeks contest ends the next one begins so if ends on Saturday the next contest starts usually by supper time on Sunday so dig out your card and scan it for the next weeks contest. I must really be missing something here lol. Especially with the results of the poll. The contest runs 7 days so whats the difference what day it starts and ends you have 7 days to enter? Not a dig on you at all either Prime but you say you are looking on here on Sunday and Monday nights saying you should have entered well the next weeks contest is always up by then like this weeks contest is posted right now and was posted yesterday at like 4:00 p.m. or something so while your looking on here tonight and following this thread you could always dig out a card and scan it :-). I guess I just don't get how having it end on Sunday is going to help anyone since they can enter the weeks contest Sundays anyway.

I agree with bgggg2001. The contests still run 7 days and whether it ends on a Saturday night, Sunday night or even 3:15 on Thursday morning, doesn't make a difference. The only reason I can see someone wanting the date to be moved is so that it's a more convenient time for them to match their cards against the competition and make a last minute entry.
