Will Exquisite's exit have a big effect on prices next year?
Exquisite have said this is their last year, but I wouldn't say for good. Since their cards are the premium of all cards, buyers will be looking elsewhere to spend their money next year, and boy do they spend money if we're talking about Exquisite collectors. For 10-11 season, exquisite collectors will be investing their money on other companies and I believe this will prove a spike on cards.

Exquisite collectors will not be investing their money on other companies... they will be investing their money in previous years of Exquisite.

I asked Upperdeck if this is their last year and they said nope.
"This is not the last year for Exquisite" per their Facebook response.

Of course, UD is going to say this isn't Exquisite's last year. But it definitely will be their last for at least a little while. I'm sure they fully expect to be back in the basketball card business once Panini's exclusive license runs out.

UD would probably do Exquisite like their 09-10 Greats of the Game...don't ya think? Using players in their college uniforms. It wouldn't suprise me, anyway for them to throw something out there to make a buck.

I have always thought this product was over rated. In The present economy, this product can't really be sustained. The card industry has always tried to keep kids interested. The values and rarities is what keeps grown ups involved. Look at UD to push more their low to mid range product.
