Draft: Cousins, Turner could be #1 pick over Wall?
While most people believe John Wall is the top overall prospect in the 2010 NBA Draft, there has also been people clamoring for Evan Turner to be included in the discussion. According to at least one GM, DeMarcus Cousins is also talented enough to be considered for the first slot.
“It all depends on who’s picking,” the GM said. “He’s talented enough to be the No. 1 pick. I’m sure the team that does pick No. 1 will spend time to cover their bases. It all depends on how the lottery falls. Wall, Turner, Cousins? To me, there is no consensus guy. You’ll learn a lot about an organization by how they draft. Last year, it was easy. At No. 2, it got murky. Now, it’s murky at the top.”

With Kentucky being ousted of the NCAA tournament long before they were expected to be, that had a role in dropping Wall's stock, as of now at least...but, things can change...Wall hasn't even declared for the draft yet...I don't think any of these three have yet, actually.

Turner should be. He blows Wall out of the water across the board in stats. Although I wouldn't be surprised to see ET head back to OSU for his senior season.

Pure talent, I'd take Cousins. Real world, I want no part of Cousins whatsoever. And with the upcoming changes to the CBA, any player that can get drafted in the first round should leave ASAP. Unless they want to risk getting significantly less money.

I agree that it depends on who is picking. Can't really go wrong with either Wall or Turner. Although, like stated above, I wouldn't be surprised if Turner came back for his final year.

I agree, Turner is much more well rounded, and IMO more NBA ready than Wall. I do like Wall, he has A LOT of potential, but he needs some work.
