Michael Jordan question?

If UD do go bankrupt as a few members mentioned here. Will we see major price increases of certain Michael Jordan cards in the long-run say eg. insert's, 90's autograph's and patch cards.

His flood of auto cards already lowered the valued of his cards, so I would expect a gradual increase in value if UD decides not to put out anymore MJ.

If UD goes kaput and MJ stops signing, then his auto cards will definitely start going up, same if no more MJ jersey cards are made. Supply & demand and all that good stuff. . .

Its supply and demand, obviously if UD goes under then his value will go up

But if he signs with another company then the value might stay the same or even lower a bit

For the autographs, those will probably go up...but inserts, I don't think it'll have any effect. Those aren't as sought after, and the print run of them isn't going to change. Print run of the autos won't change either, but there are less of those, and they are more highly sought after.

They won't go down, but they won't go up much either. I mean Upper Deck FLOODED the market with autos and GUs of Jordan, they won't be much more special.

Sorry..don't mean to beat a dead horse..but, couple things I wanted to mention on this.

Yes..as trends go..if UD goes under. I'm sure there will be an AUCTION of storage closets like Fleer had..and then there will be a MASSIVE flood of stuff up on Ebay 'un-numbered' and not 100% like the original. MJ stuff WILL spike a bit cause EVERYONE will have the same idea >> 'LET'S get an MJ auto NOW while you can'. Now..if he signs for Panini..well, I think Panini will do it right w/him..and NOT flood the market. But, you have the same story..WILL MJ sign for another company...I doubt it..but, you never know. If he does though.. you'll see some interest in his NEW stuff..but, it'll drop back down.

Nathan..you're a BIT wrong on this. Just wanted to point this out. Even NOW..most $40-$100 MJ inserts are goin for double & triple on Ebay..RAW. Famous nicknames BGS 9.5 can fetch you upwards of $2,000. Trust me..I was SHOCKED when I took a peek into this MJ insert world. But..there's some HIGH $$$ being paid RIGHT now for MJ inserts. Have NO idea why..but, that's what's happening now.
