What's the Gretzky auto-pen story?
Someone might know about this, I've seen some post saying that Gretzky had an auto-pen signing his cards ... does that thing really exist or it's just a myth?
Let's see what you guys think about that and if someone know the story behind that, I'm sure it would be a great read.
Thanks, and nice habs win!

And he's not the only one to use that kind of pen? That really make me mad about the hobby ... one of my dream was to get a Gretzky auto ... but if it's not even from him, it doesn't even deserve any money.

Without trying to start up another conversation about the authenticity of Upper Deck stuff..... that's not where all the claims come from.
It isn't that he doesn't sign for card companies..... it's that his TTM autos get done by a machine.

Congratulations! You have received a trading card personally autographed by an autopen owned by Wayne Gretzky. This trading card was sent to Upper Deck directly from Wayne Gretzky's assistant. This certificate expressly warrants the authenticity of the depicted athlete's autopen signature. Enjoy your autographed card!

Yeah like was said above, he does sign the cards himself, but TTM's are auto-penned.
