I usually don't break boxes either. I'm always disappointed.

You break a box and it is lame and makes you wish you never broke ever again, and then you see someone break a same box the next day and they get the best cards?? Has happened to me 4 times. Anyone else w bad mojo?

I just got back into collecting a few months ago, and this has happened to me countless times at LCS, where I do not buy boxes from anymore.
First of all, FRICKIN B.J. Mullens!! Pulled 4 in 6 boxes. Think that's a sign to stop buying individual boxes?
Second, I agree, cases are the way to go. I think focusing on one product if you trying to build a set, or buying and reselling brand new products works out best. Good luck on your next break though. Hopefully Mullens never makes it big haha.

All the good stuff goes to Attyball, look at their latest breaks, Jordans, Lebrons in every case even doubles. But then again they spend more than anyone else on earth. So I guess you get what you pay for hehe

The odds are probably 1/8 what it should be

While I really enjoy watching them break, I gotta wonder how he is able to afford all that product.

If I am not mistaken, he has a couple profitable businesses

Also he resells alot of the cards on ebay, although I dont think he will make his money back, it does soften the blow to the wallet

I don't think he even cares the money part. Like previous post said, the main guy has business. It is his hobby, just like people collect cars, collect fine arts. It just happens he is into basketball cards.

And of course, selling in ebay is just a way to get rid of "junk". Unlike most of us, we sell in ebay to cut the "loss".

Yep, recently he got rid of some "junk" when he sold a Jordan retro patch. I guess we don't think about it as the same type of hobby as Vintage Sports Cars which cost a few bucks to say the least. At least we get to watch those guys break! That guy's collection is quite impressive, and that was only his 1/1's and Lebron/Jordans.

Yup. I would do the same like he does if I have the same amount of money. Buy a lot of cases and break. I just want to point out that we should not get carry away because someone else has super collection with all 1/1...:D

For less than $900 you could have gotten a much better case from an 07-08 Product. Not that it's bad, just a lower quality product. Sorry about the bad luck man, we've all had it at one time or another!
