am I reading this wrong ?
To be eligible for the Calder, a player cannot have played more than 25 games in any single preceding season nor in six or more games in each of any two preceding seasons in any major professional league. Also, a player must not have attained his 26th birthday by Sept. 15th of the season in which he is eligible.
wouldn't this make Howard ineligible ? he's already 26
and IF so, why nominate him ?Last edited by jbmmadman; 04-22-2010 at 05:39 PM.

Believe he was 25 to start the season aka he is barely eligible.
That being said, who cares? He's 7 years older than Duchene and 6 older than Myers. That gives him WAY more experience. He won't win

if that's the case, then it's Duchene's all the way. I don't think Myers did enough to win it

1. Duchene
2. Myers
3. Howard (even though he has been also very good this season)

Duchene should win the Calder.
No doubt in my mind.

Duchene has to win it. If he loses, I will sell my oh so sweet Top Prospects jsy of his. I'm confident he won't lose

Imagine if Tavares played on Colorado, Buffalo, or Detroit.....

He'd still suck. I said it before and I'll say it until they both retire. Duchene will always be better than Tavares.

Sell it to me after Myers wins

Myers should get this.
I dont think Duchene had much better a year than Tavares (he ended up with 1 more point while playing with a much better team).
It's a tough race though with all 3 playing diff positions, makes for a tougher comparison.
