Wow, the guy is still a young pup in the league and if it wasn't for him this series would have been over in 4 games and Vancouver would be sitting home waiting for their next opponent. He wasn't good tonight but a few of those goals were not his fault. He is a very solid young goalie who is getting some good experience this year and will only get better. The Kings are just like the Hawks two years ago. they are right on the verge with all that young talent, give the guy a chance and don't let one game or one series give you a bad taste on him. Montreal fans are notorious for this, one bad game or series and they want the goalie banished to Siberia.

He can play - but I think the workload on a young goalie (70+ games) caused him to wear down at the end - in the last 13 games he has only won 2 games and his Save % and GAA isnt very good for a goalie who won 39 games - He has benefited from a team that has had some pretty good streaks in the season - He has saved more than a few games but he isnt going to get the Kings to the Cup final....We can only enjoy the ride.....

Quick is not terrible - he played terrible tonight and he's terribly inconsistent. he really played well at times during the season and was very good in the middle of the year.

personally, i would trade Quick before he loses his job to Bernier. there are quite a few teams that would be interested in a guy that won 39 games and can handle a heavy workload. he is signed at a very good number and if we can get a young scoring wing back i would make a deal.

Look, The Game of hockey is like this hobby, someone goes on a tear for a season, everyone jumps on the bandwagon, but when they show their human side, people walk away.

Jonathan Quick is a good goalie, and will be a good goalie, but guys, give the guy a break. He jumped into a role that no one thought he could fill, and now you want him to be an elite goalie in the playoffs? C'mon. Jonathan Quick is not Patrick Roy, he's not going to win a cup in his first year, and he will lose his starting job, once they Kings stop babying Jonathan Bernier and give him the reigns.

Good on Quick for holding the Kings together this year, but he's now showing he's human. Don't come down on him for that. Althought 7-2 is pretty brutal.

Seriously. This isn't just rage from tonights loss. He is absolute garbage. He has TERRIBLE positioning, his save choices are just terrible, he gives up the biggest rebounds, and he's inconsistent as hell. Seriously someone take him off our team. I want Bernier.

    Patience grasshopper.
i think the Kings are doing the right thing with Bernier. Letting him develope and learn how to win in the minors.

I agree that Quick has been brutal at times but like other posters said maybe the weight of all the games that he played have worn him down. He was lighting Quick in the first 3/4 of the season while the Kings were riding high. Lately though he has been Quick sand you know the guy who gives you the sinking feeling.

He just may get his second wind and lead the Kings further into the playoffs but he may not get the chance as bringing up Bernier is gaining momentum.

Would be better than Ersberg but would it really be fair to the guy?

    Should be interesting though.

I just wish he had that game in Game 1 so they would have called Bernier up.. Maybe then my Pirates could have gotten through the first round.. That kid is solid... THis is his 2nd full year in the AHL I believe..
