I agree with 1 - 7 from a historical point but maybe not in that order....

Need to add Gettysburg in there....

also agree on 1-7...... what about the Star Wars movies? I was definitely hoping to see ones like Anakin vs. Obi-Wan from Revenge of the Sith, or one of the other battles in that episode.

I agree 300 has to get at least in the top 5. Other than that, it is a perfect list to me.

What would be your fav. Wars battle do you think? I have a few of my favs:

    Vader/Luke in Ep. 5
Geonosis - the droid vs. jedi battle when yoda shows up to rescue them in Ep.2
Chancellor vs. Windu - when the jedi show up to arrest him in Ep. 3

but I gotta say the most intense one, that should be on this list, would have to be the battle of brothers, Anakin vs. Obi Wan, where he finally becomes Vader

I've gotta throw in the Star Wars duels

    • Anakin v. Obi-Wan in Episode III
    • Obi-Wan & Qui-Gon vs Darth Maul in Episode I
    • Yoda vs. Emperor Palpatine in Episode III

And for a couple of Non-Star Wars battles

    • The final duel for Hadren's Wall in King Arthur
    • The final battle in X-Men III: The Last Stand
    • Arnold Schwarzenegger vs. The Female Terminator in Terminator III
