    insert counterfeit questions

So I just read a thread about counterfeit concerns regarding 2 eBay sellers. Very interesting. I buy a lot on eBay and alway try to be as cautious as possible. I see how it could be easy to replace patches, but what about 90's inserts (the bulk of what I buy)? How common are counterfeit 90's inserts and how easy is it for shady sellers to make insert cards like ex A Cut Above, Golden Touch, SPx Promotion, Metal Universe Titanium, Big Men on Court and Star Rubies Ruby?

I think it's kind of hard to fake some of the nicer 90's inserts.

the only way i could see counterfeits of 90s inserts is maybe people cutting up uncut sheets

for example, months ago i saw an uncut sheet of 97-98 ex2001 jambalaya sell for around 350...what would stop someone from getting them cut professionally and selling them individually....i'm sure the jordan would sell close to 1g the way his 90s rare inserts have been selling

If it's cut from an uncut sheet, I don't know if it is still a counterfeit, the uncut sheet is from the original company after all, and the cards probably all came from an uncut sheet before they were cut.

if that's the case, that would have been a heck of a bargain

With today printing technology, I wouldn't surprsied if there is fake card outside. It is better than printing money.
