I have this card shop here in town, and they have those standard card cases probably like 3-4 feet tall, about 5 feet long, with like a 2-3 shelves in it, and the strip lighting towards the top where you stand... Needless to say the people who made these cases had no idea what would happen to the cards they stored in them for the next 10-20 years!! LOL

This guy at this shop has had some of these cards in the same spot for the last 10 years, and im not kidding! Some of the autos have literally faded away completely! Ive been to shops where theyve used some uvp protection sheets you can buy them at craft stores, and they cut a little bandaid strip and put it over the auto on the card case itself... it will totally protect the autos from the light in the case. Probably dirt cheap for a few sheets too... ive told this guy numerous times he needs to do that, he just doesnt care... lol maybe some day ill snap a pic with my phone in the one case im thinkin of, you guys would probably get a kick out of it... theres seriously and im not jokin, atleast 10 autograph cards will barely an auto at all!

Yeah, I almost pulled the trigger, but it's just too faded for me.

WOW..that's TOO bad. I'm sure if he had it reslabbed at this point..it'd more than likely drop to a PSA 9.

But wait, they only grade card condition and NOT the autograph right?

From what i understand PSA just grades the card itself, i would imagine thats why the person sent that card to psa to begin with! Probably had it slabbed by beckett 9.5, with a 7-8 auto, and cracked it out and re-sent to PSA were he knew they wouldnt grade the auto...

That would drive me nuts if it was my card. I'd sell too.
