So I was wondering,
With the recent sucesses of players via Detroit Tigers Foundation (DTF), should I be able to get every player through this address? Also, is there a price or is it just a small donation? Any help appreciated. THANKS!

You can get the following players ONLY through Detroit Tigers AFAC. I have sent to all of these players, and can verify each of them once I get a return.

Jeremy Bonderman - has done it for years now, can verify this
Miguel Cabrera
Carlos Guillen
Magglio Ordonez
Rick Porcello
Dontrelle Willis

The donation guidelines are $10 for each card, $20 for photos no larger than 8x10*, all other items will be refused and sent back. No other players are participating that I'm aware of. I tried contacting the Tigers via email about who was participating, and was told that players who are will return a letter informing you of this.

I have also been informed that any players sent large items (ROMLB, 8x10, other items) will not have them forwarded by the Detroit Tigers. This is new this year and still have not found an explanation as to why this is.

They will send back your stuff unsigned with a form letter asking for a donation. That is how everybody found out they were doing this. Other players who sign for charity:

Rockies: Todd Helton, Brad Hawpe, Troy Tulowitzki (all items $25)
Marlins: Brett Carroll, Andrew Miller (cards $10, photos 8x10 or smaller $20, inscriptions $5)

These are all on their teams respective websites, you just have to look for them.

Has anyone who went though the Tiger Foundation for autos had the autographs authenticated? They are not stamps???

Back in 2006/2007, Bonderman would charge $5 for MLB authentication. Here's one I have with the COA sticker.



That being said, it is no longer offered, but I would have no doubt that these are authentic.
