    Talking nice little find!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hello everyone..while i was working today i remembered a pawn shop that recently opened about a year ago..i went in there one day while i was looking around i noticed one hockey card sitting on the shelf...but it was behind the counter so i couldn't really see it..so i paid it no mind..so today i started thinking about it, since i am now collecting hockey..so i called and asked if they still had that card..and he said yes..i asked how much do you want for it?? he replied i don't know is $10.00 ok?? i said sure hold it for me and i will pick it up after work...anyway for $10.00 i think i got a great deal..lmk what you guy;s think?? unfortunatly i have no scan but here is what i found...

2000 itg ultimate memorabilia dual jersey of....

martin broduer and jacques plante 16 of 30

but i am a little confused because on the bottom of the description it reads
ultimate memorablia card 18,684 of 25,000...
it is one of those slabbed cards...how did i do??

    Epic win.
Every individual card in the Ultimate Memorabilia set is numbered from the entire print run of the set. There were 25K cards made in total for the set, but only 30 of the Brodeur/Plante.

when i asked the owner if he ever gets anymore sports cards in?? he said he has people that bring in boxes full alot..but he has know one to sell them to..so he took my number and from now on he is going to buy them and sell them to me at a small profit..he said he usually gets this stuff dirt cheap..being that it is a pawn shop people know they are not going to get top dollar for there stuff...only condition is whatever he gets i have to buy the whole lot..( no cherry picking )..so if a box of crap comes in i am stuck with it or it could be the other way around..i told him i'll take my chances..the card i just got from him bv is $150.00 not bad fore $10..

as far as the history of the card?? i remember going in there the first week he opened that was a year ago..and i remember a hockey card sitting on the shelve...so yesterday when i asked him how he wanted ?? he replied $10 because he only paid $5.00 for it...he did ask me what i thought it was worth when i went in to get it..i told him since there is a canadien on the card i would have no problem putting it on ebay and maybe getting $50.00 or $60.00 for it...but since i am getting in to goalies that baby is in my strong box keeping ny terry sawchuck company lol...

Nice steal. One thing we should warn you about though. Be careful of vintage card reprints. Bobby Orr and Wayne Gretzky rookie cards in particular.
