2009-10 Ultimate Collection... What do you think?
So Upper Deck is coming out with UC in about a month... Any ideas on it? I think it looks pretty cool and will probably get a group break going here pretty soon so we can get a preorder in but possibility of getting on card MJ Autos, Lebron Autos, Dr J...... should be a pretty neat product. Anyone else excited about something non-panini that should have some decent stuff in it or afraid it will be more of the old upper deck and have good autos few and far between?

I have a bad feeling about this product and I turned down splitting a case of it with my buddy. After the release of Greats of the Game, I can see the new ultimate to be a complete bust as well. Take away a couple of the big names and the rest of the boxes are gonna be loaded with absolute garbage. But once again, as always, people will bust this product in hopes of getting an MJ or LBJ but that's not convincing me.

I saw the preview for this product. Looked like a bunch of sticker autos on unspectacular designs. I love Upper Deck stuff and looked forward to the Ultimate Signatures set every year, but this product didn't look that great and feels more like a glorified Greats of the Game from this year.
Stickers on Ultimate Collection makes me sad.

Any product with Michael Jordan in it is always worth busting. Should have increased odds for a Jordan auto with so limited releases this season

You would think Upper Deck would be stepping their game up and showing off what we've been missing in our hobby of collecting basketball cards. But I guess they'll use the same excuse "hey guys, we got your Michael Jordan & LeBron James autograph cards here, not Panini, so you MUST buy our stuff".
It's not like they don't have time, they don't have to be pushing out basketball sets like in 2008/2009, come on UD...where's the effort?

Don't insult press pass like that. At least they manage to have on card autos and decent design. They also have GU cards.

So let me ask you this... what price range would this stuff have to be in to drop some cash on it. If you are in fact one of those people in chase for the Lebrons and MJs.... would you spend something like 150-200 per box or have to stay more in the 60-80 range. I know me personally would not drop that much on this stuff if it is the same quality at Greats of the Game. Those base cards felt like the 1990 pro set football crds everyone has a box of.
