Why does the Tavares Yg sell for more than the Stamkos Yg ???

Well, I am not to sure but I am going to have to say the newest factor? I'm sure the Stamkos was going for a fair amount once if came out but now that is has been out for 2 years almost everyone who was paying top dollar for one has a Stamkos Young Gun. However the Tavares has been out for under the half the time as the Stamkos so people are still looking to get in bidding wars to get his Young Gun until the next big Young Gun hits the market.

Hype, hype, and more hype. As far as the 09-10 season goes, Tavares is the rookie with the most hype and potential surrounding him, and therefore his cards are selling high right now. Stamkos, while his cards are selling much higher now thanks to a great second year, isn't in his rookie year and the market already has a large supply of cards out there that people held on to after the end of the 08-09 season and are now making available. People are still chasing the Tavares, while many collectors already have their Stamkos from last year. Supply and demand.
