yeh, he went through that rough spell, then the other night went 0-5 with 5 K's, but he has such a level head. Show me another ball player that would forget about that and come out the next night and play like nothing happened...

Want to see the power back!

Just wanted to put this thread back up since he is doing so well. He seems to be heating back up. Heyward is turning into one heck of a ball player. He is a little streaky so far but its like every 20 at bats or so he just flips a switch and goes nuts at the plate. He has been a spark plug for the Braves so far. Go Braves!!

according to espn, he has a sore thumb when he crashed it into a plate diving head first. i think they should let him sit and rest for a few games so he doesn't aggravate it any more.

i love the guy and he'll be fine long term. i'm looking forward to next year after he gets his first pro season under his belt.

All those players went went 0-5 with 5 K's in a single game? Anyway, Im pretty sure (I may be wrong) he is refering to how level headed and mature he is at such a young age as is the entire baseball world. Sorry you missed that.

No and if they did they'd be able to forget about it like every other player in the majors. Your making Jason Heyward seem like he can come back from a game and no one else can, newsflash no matter the age of a decent major league hitter they can bounce back from a bad game...

You want me to show you a list of players that were 'level headed and mature at a young age'? Its not uncommon to see players like that, even bad players are level headed and mature at a young age...

actually, no i wouldnt. i sense some hostility, no need to get defensive because Detroit doesnt have a top prospect like Heyward...relax!
