I am guessing you went with Slaton from looking at your banner. Good choice.

yeah i think Slaton is a good choice. i think the addition of Ben Tate will help him out this year.

Although I'm a biased Texans fan I would say you're better off collecting either Ben Tate or even Arian Foster. The local news here has it that Foster is winning the RB competition while Tate is very impressive. Slaton has been wearing a red non-contact jersey during training camp because of the surgery he had for his nerve injury on his neck towards the end of the season. That paved the way for Foster to put up some good numbers as the starter during that period. The Texans drafted Tate b/c Slaton's future was still questionable.
Don't get me wrong, I would love for the Texans to have 3 very good running backs but to invest in him would be very risky. I'm rooting for Slaton and hope he recovers but at this point the Texans may just use him as a change of pace back with either Foster or Tate as the main RB. Watching the Texans play a lot over here, Slaton reminds me of Domanick Davis (former rookie of the year winner) but a lot quicker.
Anyways, if you're a fan of Slaton, by all means collect him. If you think you will cash in, perhaps he may have a good game or 2 and at that point you may get some money back.

I don't think he's looking for an investment. Just a decent running back that is cheap and has a lot of cards.

What rb's are you a fan of and that you actually follow? I wouldn't think you are just looking for "any player" too collect.

Yeah i'm not looking for an investment. My favorite RB's are McCoy, Slaton, MJD and Brian Westbrook.
I PCed mccoy already, have a lot of stuff unscanned. MJD is a tad out of my price range and westbrook is done.
Leaves me with Slaton. He's young, already had a solid rookie year and he has a lot of product.
Most importantly, his stuff is cheap and i can afford it.
