    Question UD Card Error.....Funny Stuff!

So I was just browsing through my hockey collection the other day and found a base card of Semyon Varlamov from this year's Fleer Ultra set.

Although I looked closer and saw his name was misspelled in the following way:

    Semen Varlamov

Are you kidding me UD? It even says the same thing on the back, I'm not a huge Caps fan but I feel bad for the poor guy, come on guys!

So my question is this, is this card worth anything more, if anything at all for the goofy error?

It's card # 151 if anyone is curious, thanks!

It's not an error. Semyon changed the spelling of his name in English at the beginning of last season because people weren't pronouncing it right.

As others have said, it's not a misspelling. Some of the Russian guys' names don't translate that well from the original to English.

For a while official sources had it as Andrei Kastsitsyn before it was settled upon Andrei Kostitsyn.

    It just happens.

Now, everybody apologize to Upper Deck.

One more reason to choose ITG.

One more reason to choose ITG.

ITG makes as many spelling errors as UD. UD didn't misspell Varlamov's name here, Varly just hadn't settled on a way to spell it.

I know ITG misspelled Patrik Elias' name before (Patrick) and almost misspelled Pelle Lindbergh's name in Superlative, before it was corrected.

UD gives you a lot of reasons to blame it, but wait for them to do it first.
