Why Do I Keep Getting Lowballed on an SPA O'Reilly Patch auto /100 ?
Is there something about Cal O'Reilly that I dont know?
I have a beautiful 5 color cal o'reilly auto patch from SPA in my ebay store listed with a BIN of $40.
The card has 8 watchers but every offer I've recieved has been a low ball in my opinion. I was offered $8, $15, $16.50.
My counters have all been from $29-35. How come this card has so much interest yet I'm getting low balled to pieces on it?
Anyone want to tell me the Cal O'Reilly mystery?

Probably the Nashville effect. I wouldn't settle below $30 myself if it were mine. Best of luck and hopefully you get a decent offer on it!

Yeah, well because of the Nashville effect, i kept this card at $40 BIN, rather than $60-70.
Sadly, this is the best card from my case of SPA :( --- okay maybe 2nd best, I had a Duchene FW auto (sold $75)

Pretty darn reasonable for the BIN. Most are usually terribly inflated and sell for a fraction of what the BIN was. Maybe that's part of your problem as well. Not saying a higher BIN would get you higher offers but it might not hurt to try. Everyone wants a huge bargain which is why you're getting such low offers. I think they are taking your BIN and going just below 50%. I'd bump it up to $70-$75 and see what that does.

Yeah, I needed some quick cash so I re-opened my store and posted a bunch of cards up there. I'm just going to keep fielding the lowballs and countering with a reasonable price.
I thought maybe O'Reilly was hurt or something>?

Just got an offer at a respectable $32+$3 shipping. I think its a taker!

After seeing this thread, I had to check out the card, especially since I've been grabbing as many of the 09-10 SPA patches as I can (while they're still a plenty). That's a great card, and before I fielded a respectable offer there, hopefully ending your low-ball woes, I couldn't help but be tempted to drop an offer of "1.99" before doing so.
At 4 brutal offers, the jokes are over by this point.

The watchers ould have also been O'Reilly patch holders looking to track.
Hopefully that 32+3 worked out for you.

I would have said $40 was a decent price as it is!

Unfortunaley, since UD released SPA and Ultimate within a very close span, people who may have given more time to chase SPA cards possibly have moved directly to the Ultimate. Also, is it me, or are there a LOT more scrub auto patches this year, thus watering down the value?
