Great pictures--thanks for sharing! Taking the kids to the National is great. I took my son & daughter to the last two they had in Anaheim (2006 & 2000) and we had an awesome time at both!

OMG that is funny right? I could tell you stories about the boardwalk, errr under the boardwalk, and IROC's from the high school days
. Also my grandfather had a 28 ft Bertram at a marina in Point Pleasant when I was growing up in the 70's. Spent lots of time out there on the water. I know a few guys from over that way and around Brick too. I grew up on the other side of the state but still worked in Newark and the 78 or 1/9 corridor for many years. Didn't know you where a Jersey Boy too ha ha.
Any good shops reasonably close to where I am going? Say AC to Toms River? Let me know and thanks for posting Josh!
Yes I agree. With Brandon being so much younger than the other boys this turned out to be great 1 - 1 time for us. What great fun.
We are looking at Chicago and I do hope Karine can make it. I'd love to meet more of the SCF people I interact with regularly. I hope to go to a Toronto show in the future as I hear that is THE place to get hockey cards and memorabilia.
Thanks for the comments everyone.

As for Chicago, i'll do my best if I don't hit Toronto of course as I'm not made of money hehehe

Sounds like you and your son had a blast. I can't wait till next year when it's here in Chicago. Looks like I will be taking my 8 year old to the show next year, LOL.
I will make sure that I am available for the entire week to SCF or any members that come to Chicago next year. I'm looking forward to meeting as many members as possible.

If you want to set let me know. Had a offer from two members about setting up there. We shall see if I ever take them up on it.
Awesome thread and will drop the member a pm about the Kane you mentioned. As I had totally forgotten about it. So tackling that now. Loved meeting you both. Just be glad I was not mean to your son like Rich's. You should ask him about what I did to both of his boys. Man it fun having fun with kids. lol

Nice to see you had a good time at the nationals. I really wanted to make it this year seeing Baltimore is not that far a ride for me from Jersey. But prior commitments kept me in the area. The next time you are in the LBI area, let me know! I grew up on the island, and we still have a house there (Brant Beach). Summertime we are down for the weekends, but come October I am there for the entire month. Big fisherman, and I look forward to my vacation there every fall.
The island is so nice after the shoobies leave LOL!!!

Oh I thought we where "Bennies" LOL! We come down every year. We usually stay in Beach Haven (we are here now until Saturday) and and have stayed in Brant Beach and Ship Bottom in years past. When I was a kid my grandfather had a 28ft Bertram in Point Pleasant and we would spend a lot of time on the ocean. Lots of deep sea fishing. I always wanted to learn to fish the surf. I have been coming down here to LBI with my family for 20 years now. We swim, surf, shop, and eat LOL! We absolutely love it here. I will definitely let you know next time Ed. Thanks.
And Thanks for all the nice comments everyone.

the bennies term is used in North Jersey. We have always called them shoobies down here. Long story why they are called that, but that will be another time.
I was born and raised in Surf City (south 2nd st) my grandfather, then my father owned what is now called surf city marina. My entire family are from the island. We have quite a history down there. It is the only shore that I will ever go to! You can have your Ocean City and Wildwood (Kiddie City) LBI has always been the family shore.
I have a nice 18ft Parker CC I can take you and your kids out fishing or crabbing, then when we get back we can do some trading

Hey great read Kevin and it sure was good to meet up with you and the other members from SCF.
What amazed me about the show wasn't the size as I had aleady been told that it was bigger than I could imagine but the the numbers of fathers and sons and even a few fathers and daughters plus couples that were at the show.
Speaking of wrestling here's some pics and autos I got, hope you do not mind me posting them here.
