Kariya is UFA since July 1st.

The Blues can't trade him because he is not under contract with the organization anymore.

If he moved to Anaheim, it would be as a free agent. Not via a trade.

I wish this could happen cause I'd much rather have Bobby Ryan than Kariya! But yeah the Blues no longer have Kariya's rights so he cannot be traded unless the Blues (or another team) signs him.

They are like 10mil or more under the salary cap, so they clearly can afford players like Ryan and Kariya and even a solid defenseman like Willie Mitchell. yeah....no. Last year their cap hit was $53 mil when the salary cap hit was $56 mil. I doubt the teams going to implement a cap that was only $3 mil less than the actual cap. Try again.
