The return of "SCORE".....
Just found this article and found it refreshing that a company is willing to make a product that is affordable for everyone. I know I find it hard to afford some of the more expensive Brands, and with two young boys who are starting to ask me to buy them cards this makes that possible. As well, I think the pics are nice and would be a nice set to work on with my boys..
Here is the article.... Let me know what you think....

Not too keen on products like that as for me it's a boring break. For set collectors and, obviously, people who like that set it should be a great product. The design is nice.

I will not break any of it but I like the retro look to it.

I'm thinking I may break a box or two of this. For the price point you can't really go wrong, and with a chance at some of the 90-91 buyback autos they're promoting, you could really go right...
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

I remember breaking packs of the original 90-91 Score when I was a kid. I will probably oick up a box or two, just to see what it feels like to open it again!

Just to be clear Upper Deck has been offering similar low end products for kids each year like Victory, Collector's Choice, MVP, and OPC however saying that this looks better than 3 those and compares with OPC but costs less than OPC. Plus rookie redemption's and 1 auto per case. Auto's should be highly sought after.

They are going to have 15 deifferent buyback autos from 90-91 including Roy, Lindros and Brodeur. The whole buyback checklist is going to be of good players. I doubt they are the only autos in the product though.

Considering that they have it listed as 1 auto per case I doubt they'd only have a 15 player auto list. Probably need at least 50-75 different players.

Straight from Al Muir who is in charge of their hockey division: Can't give out the complete checklist just yet, but 10 of the 15 players are in the Hall (or will be), two are extremely popular in Western Canada, one has a high-profile job and the other two were key RCs at the time who went on to enjoy fairly solid careers.
He mentioned Sakic, Brodeur, Lindros and Roy. I think it will be like OPC where they had buybacks AND OPC signatures and combined they will fall one per case. I have a feeling that they may be multi case hits.

For the pricepoint, plus the retro design, it will be a fun break.
Plus, they are putting rookie redemptions in the product. I think they are 1 per box.
A fun way to start the season.
