Rope 'Em: Carey Price at the Rodeo
http://www.chilliwacktimes.com/sport...418/story.html
Guess he'll just have to stick to stopping pucks!
Team roping, in which one rider attempts to lasso a calf's horns and another goes for a hind leg, doesn't normally get as much attention as the wild-animal riding contests. But Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price's attempt to snare a couple of calves shone a light on the sport.
Price learned the ropes, so to speak, on Friday and Saturday, before giving the event a go for real on Sunday. He should stick to hockey; he recorded two no-time scores as he was unable to snare the calf's hind leg with his lasso. But despite his lack of team-roping talent, Price was a hit with locals, according to organizer Helen Larson.
"The kids loved it; he posed for lots of pictures . . . and answered all the kids' questions," said Larson, who had Price sign her own Canadiens jersey, bought specially for the rodeo.
For those wondering, team roping was the only event the NHL would let Price participate in.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

91.2 SV% - I think all of our employers would be happy if we did our jobs properly 9 out of 10 days. This idea that he needs to "get his act together" is strange and doesn't really reflect what all of his teammates and the organization have been saying about him for the past several months.

LOL Yeah unfortunately a few of those 8.8% that got by had some really bad smell to them. Those are the ones that people tend to remember long after they forget stuff like this:

Every NHL goalie has his off-nights. Well-known haters are always quick to point them out. That's fine.

I will blame Price for a couple goals but the team didn't even show up to play that night...and it has been like that for a while. Price is already a top flight goalie in the NHL and his stats (which are better than Brodeur, Roy, Luongo and Fleury at the same age) prove that. Can't wait for the new season to start.

She's a lost cause Ricahrd. The Pricetrollilisists are out to get you every time.
Funny thing though. If the Canadiens would have traded Carey and kept Halak I'd be just as supportive. Odd how some fans think it's actually Carey's fault for everything. As if he's running the entire organization....wait. Maybe he is. Maybe he's the silent Molson partner.
