The class card is an issue because you can't trash someone for not having any and than not show any yourself. If you want to call him classless, than show some your self. It's the pot calling the kettle black right now.

I think some forget him always saying 'I love the city of Cleveland and will never let the city down. I will bring them a championship'

Fast forward to him now saying 'I hated the city of Cleveland because people thought they were better than us from Akron'

    Doesn't that completely contradict itself?

all my comments are irrelevant according to you.....lol...."i'll never leave until I bring a title to Cleveland"...I don't think he could play basketball until the age of 200 or so....I am willing to bet there was alot of behind the scenes crap going on that alot of us don't know about....I know that the City of Cleveland should be happy getting rid of Lebron James.....without him over these years Cleveland would not have gotten to the playoffs or anything....HE IS MIAMI'S problem now......I know at least my all time favorite player as already won a title(Dwyane Wade)

Again, why should I show class to a punk kid who showed none to the city I love? Pot meet kettle all day in that situation. And like already stated, every Cleveland fan in the entire world feels that exact same way.

I was speaking in general, not trying to make it personal with you.........

And you're really gonna tell me the Cavs were 180 years away from winning a title? Back to back best record in the league = not far off from a championship.

You really have no clue do you? We aren't upset simply because he left the Cavaliers. We are upset the way he left. I suppose you don't remember him saying that he would not quit until he won a championship for Cleveland? Well, all of us in Cleveland remember. Assuming you are a Cubs fan (based on your av) I figure you would know what it feels like to lose year after year and go for a ridiculous amount of time without a winner. When he said he wouldn't leave us without winning a title, we believed he would actually end our cities 50 year championship drought. He lied to us.

And you know what? That isn't even the worst part. The worst part is that he had an amazing team around him, and his team was one of the best in the league. This was our year. He had by far the best team around him in his 7 years as a Cavalier, and for the second year in a row, we were the best team in the league. There was no reason they shouldn't have made it to at least the Finals. But...Lebron QUIT on us against Boston. He quit on us, and his excuse is "I spoil people with my play."

Then, the free agency talk gets even more hyped up. Like most Clevelanders, I thought he would stay true to his word and say that he wouldn't leave until he won us a title. He talked with other teams and kept us in the dark, he wouldn't commit, but we still had faith that he would stay true to his word and stay. Then, he decides to go on national television and announce his decision. No one knew, he didn't have enough balls to tell the Cavs organization thanks or telling them he had to move on, he didn't have enough balls to tell the Cleveland fans prior to his TV special that he felt like he needed to move on. He basically went on TV, keeping all of North East, Ohio (that includes Akron) in the dark, and he basically craps all over the state that has loved and supported him since he was in high school.

Now, if he had given his all in the playoffs and lost, we wouldn't hate him as much. If he had told the Cavaliers organization and the fans in Cleveland prior to his TV special that he "Gave everything he had to the city and organization, but I feel I simply need to move on with my career and go somewhere else" then we wouldn't hate him as much. And if he wouldn't have made a promise that he wouldn't leave us until he brought us some rings, we wouldn't hate him at all.

I am a Cubs fan, you're right and it does suck being bad year after year. I understand that you are angry that he didn't hold up his promise, believe me I do and I understand that he's cocky and that he should have tried harder in the playoffs. But the difference is that I draw a line between sports and personal lives. Rip LeBron all you want for leaving early, be angry that he left, what ever makes you feel better. But don't insult his mother, because that is where it becomes over the top. I honestly wanted LeBron to stay in Cleveland too and believed he would. He didn't and at some point people need to get over it because it's not changing. But really insulting the man's mother? What did he say about your family? I'm curious

It does, but I think the ladder is more true than the former. And by that I mean that I feel the whole "I love the city of Cleveland" thing was more of him trying to gain good PR and become beloved (which untill recently he absolutely was). He probably did want to win a ring, but for himself, not for the city.

You've just made the arguement for why the city of Cleveland is so angry at LeBron and his antics..

Never said they shouldn't be. Just said they shouldn't insult his family.
