Gotta be hamilton. Top 5 in all offensive categories, on a playoff team where he really is valuable. Cabrera has very good stats but his team will not make the playoffs, and imo an MVP's team must make the playoffs. the Award is most Valuable player, and if u take cabrera off the tigers they dont make the playoffs and if he is there they dont make the playoffs. so he cant be most valuable. as far as cano, another nice year, but its tough for me to give the mvp to a yankee because everyone on the team is a top 5 player at their respective position, so i feel even if he wansnt there they's still win.

Cabrera, Lets look at the term 'Most Valueable Player' Key word VALUE. Does Hamilton have more value to his team then Cabrera has to the Tigers? If Hamilton wasn't playing the Rangers are still a first place team, they still have guys that will put up big numbers. And I know there are some that like those stats like WARP and all that, I took the time yesterday and Cabrera's stats were better than Hamiltons in every category except one or two i believe. Miggy also has more HRs, RBIs, a higher OBP, OPS, OPS+, and slugging %.
And Cabrera is on pace to have the second most intentional walks in a season in MLB history, and he's still putting up insane numbers. Hamilton is having an amazing season, however Cabrera's in just that much better...Sure his team isn't going to the postseason, but he's still the most VALUEable player in the American league this season..
And no, to those who say 'he gets his stats when his team is to far behind' his stats from the 7th inning and later is something like (dont have the exact numbers in front of me) .320 average, 12 HRs and 37 RBIs..He gets it done in the clutch...Also I'm sure he's still the leader in this category, and its having the most percentage of your teams scoring, something like 30%Hidden Content

Cano. He doesnt usually hit for power, and he does this year. And he is hitting his usual .320. I THINK its a no brainer.
And the VALUE is that he has replaced Arod during his injury. Without Cano, the Yankees would be like the Red Sox...

His numbers dont compare when put up to Cabrera's & Hamilton's...Cano is having a great season, but Hamilton's & Miggys are so much better.

Perfectly said...
Some people don't realize how much Hamilton means to that team. Look at when he was hurt last year, the Rangers collapsed when he was gone.

Hamilton's much better Batting Average makes up for the few more HR's/RBI's that Cabrera has. And considering that equals them out, Hamilton is on a team going to the playoffs, and Miggy is on a team headed nowhere.
Seems like a no-brainer to me. Hamilton.
