found my whale!!!

someone gave me heads up that they found my whale (see my sig for what it is)!!!!

need advice from everyone here. should i go all out to get it (ie trade everything for it or spend tonnes of $$$$)??? what does eveyrone here usually do? let me know. need advice.

What do you mean by trade everything for it?

If you've built a nice collection, I don't understand why trading all of it for one card (even if it IS a one-of-a-kind) would seem like a good idea. All that work, gone.

See how much the owner wants, decide how much you can afford - and maybe try to set a combo of cards and cash his way.


If it was one of my Whales, I would not let it get away though. I'd find the $$$ and buy it.

yeah now that chips are on table, have to decide if it's worth it....

well not literally trade the entire collection. but it seems like i need to go all out for it. plus now i'm seeing someone else is interested in it. don't need a bidding war, last thing i need....

Good luck - I saw that it was pulled by a member here earlier today. Hope you can land it for the PC.

Unfortunately with a card like that, it only takes two people to make it a competition and probably neither of you wants to lose.

Good luck in landing it. I know though I wouldn't overpay too much even for a 1/1 or any card that I really wanted. Would overpay a bit though.

Mats - I remember reading a thread saying you were after the kulemin opcp 1/1. how was that working out? i'm curious with your experience with that.

For me personally, I have a ton of Luongo 1/1's and there are a few really key ones that I didn't get for whatever reason and have since spent ages going "why didn't I bid just ten dollars more?" and wondering when, if ever, it will come available again. That feeling sucks. Other 1/1's weren't that important to me - but we all have those pieces that we just crave, you know? So if it's your whale, do what you have to do. You won't care if you overpaid for it the day you're holding it in your hand. Just my thoughts.
