2010-11 Rookie Crop - Just Slightly Exciting!
This is going to be an amazing year for rookie card collectors. Honestly, I would say that this is the best crop year since 2005-06, and that's saying something because y'all know how I feel about the 2007-08 group. The hobby love is going to be off the charts for these guys:
P.K. Subban
Jordan Eberle
Taylor Hall
The top tier of the secondary group:
Magnus Paajarvi
Tyler Seguin
Nazem Kadri
Dustin Tokarski
Those are the ones that just immediately spring to mind, I'm sure there are many others out there that are going to be competing for the hobby dollars. It is of enormous benefit that the top 3 guys are all playing on Canadian teams - that's a big bonus for all the sellers, especially with P.K. being in a Habs uni. We are insane. LOL
But wow, I tell you, once Certified drops, once the first YGs drop, look out!
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

While I'm excited, my wallet is not
All those Eberle and Hall/Paajarvi combo cards are going to kill me. And here I was thinking that Eberle would fly slightly under the radar with Hall on the team.
Better start saving now...anyone care to help me fund the madness?

It's a really good crop this year. Oilers fans, in particular, are going to take a big hit in the wallet :)

Jonathan Bernier anyone?
BTW, I love how Richard always lists the Hab first. Haha!

Yeah, pretty exciting for sure. Can't wait to add the Oiler trio RC's to the collection. It's nice to have something to get excited about in Etown for a change.

I've still got my money on Quick keeping the job :)
Bernier could, and should, be very good at some point though.
But his RCs were in 06-07, I think? Going to be a hard one for the flavour of the month guys to latch onto

07-08, but hey, the kid still has only played a handful games, he's legit!
They'll latch on if puts the heat on Quick!

Bernier was 07-08.
And of course the Habs get listed first. Who's better than Subban? Nobody!

I think Terry Murray is the last person on Earth to not realize that Jonathan Bernier is a far superior goaltender to Jonathan (Not so) Quick.
Of course, I am completely unbiased and my opinion is not based at all on my collection of Bernier rookie cards.
