The big difference between Panini Parallel's and UD Inserts
Seems like people are not liking the parallel's in Panini. But isn't it the same as a non numbered insert in UD? I will take numbered cards over non numbered inserts every time. I believe Panini numbers every card, even inserts, or at least most. UD rarely has numbered inserts. Some SP though. Idk just my opinion.

I don't think the complaint is about quality/numbering as much as it is quantity.
It can be a tough sell sometimes when you put out a set where you have roughly 10 variations of the base card and then inserts, and variations on top of the inserts.
As someone who opened a couple boxes of the stuff just a few hours ago I can tell you this - for people who buy their stuff to get hits, it's fantastic. If you buy to complete a master set or player collection, this is going to leave you with a migraine and no money to buy medicine with. There's so MUCH variation that the pulls are scattershot all over the place.

I pretty much agree with too many parallel. The fact that all insert are numbered is good and many will appreciate, but the number of base parallel is way too much for my taste. This compare a lot to BD.
Now for certified, where are the rookies... Got one in two box. That is not cool and not sure why they have so few rookie in the set. In the end, I can tell certified is nice but not in my preference as set type, mainly because of base parrallel and few rookies.

Consider everyone's issue with Artifacts and the parallels... and then multiply it by every Panini set. There's your problem.

i think insert sets that are numbered in panini aren't that collectible unless they have a cool theme or design - same just like upper deck. ud has some really nice non-numbered inserts that look great. for example, i personally liked the all-world team inserts from ud 1 and 2 last year. i also liked the seasons highlights as well as holo-fx. the numbered inserts w/o an auto or g/u piece don't sell for much anyways. numbering to 500 or even 250 won't give the card much more value.
the thing that bugs me a little about panini (or actually a lot) is that many of the insert sets are designed to have an autograph on them. if it has one, it looks pretty good, but if it doesn't there's just this huge gap space that feels as if something's missing.

I am just saying, it is a lot easier to move a insert card /500 than a Face of the Franchise insert or something.

I sincerely doubt it's all about "moving" cards for some people. Fact is, it's infuriatingly difficult to keep up with every parallel Panini has jammed into its Certified product. The intent is noble and welcome, but there *seriously* doesn't have to be so many variations of the same card, numbered or not.

But if you pull a non PC card.. why keep it? You move it. Plus there may be a lot of parallel's, but I won't complain if I pull a Crosby /25 or something.

for me as a set set collector the thrill is in completing a set, and this set is nearly impossible to complete. i was really considering doing this set (first year panini and all) but with the sheer amout of cards to chase i can't see it happening now. but on the bright side i really like the design.
