Thoughts on 2010 products?
I'm just wondering what everyone thinks of the 2010 products released to this point. Any product you really like or dislike? What about the price of busting wax, ease of selling, etc.?
I haven't really done much with anything from 2010 because I'm waiting for things to settle down, but just wanted to solicit some opinions on what you've seen so far.

If you mean products from last year. I hated SPA, love the cards but not for the price I was getting it. You were getting nothing more then 3 Random autos. Me and my brother liked Be A Player. No matter what you ended up getting 8 Autos (1 a dual) 1 RC Jersey /299 and typically 2 RC's /99. Best guaranteed bang for you buck IMO.

Yeah, I was thinking of stuff that has been released for this current year - items like Artifacts, Panini, etc.

Both are what you'd expect out of a mid end product. A few nice pulls, but way too many parallels.
The market seems to be a bit flooded, or maybe just disinterested. I track Lidstrom cards very closely, and am surprised at how low some of the Panini Certified patches and autos have sold for. As low as $10 for a /25 two color patch. This is especailly interesting when you consider he does not have any memorabilia or autograph cards in Artifacts this year to compete for funds. Personally, I have not bid on or purchased any Panini since I don't like the card designs. Maybe others agree.
Either way, it has me concerned. Although the perceived "value" of my collection is just one of the reasons I like to collect quality cards, I'm certainly not excited about the idea of a flooded market driving down the value.
Of course, it is only one player and maybe others have noticed a different trend.

Personally i have not liked any product yet this year(excluding series 1 but including all sell sheets i have seen) so i have focused on a set from a previous year. So far from what i have seen i may bust some series 1 as i like the retro parallels but have no plans on buying any other 10-11 product so far including singles

I haven't liked anything yet. Artifacts is meh, I wouldn't touch Certified with a ten foot pole. The only product I guess so far this year that doesn't look half bad is Score. I like the look of the cards, especially the ice globes, you can pull and auto, and how the bigger RC's are short printed so they hold some secondary market value. I'm with everyone else here though, I've got a nice check coming here soon so I'll probably grab a box or three of UD1.

Ive busted a few boxes of Certified and have enjoyed those.. Id give them a B rating because I have ended up with 2 complete base sets of Pens players after busting 3 boxes so I would like some more diversity. Artifacts.. I thought was terrible.. I was on the fence after i busted my box but after looking through the cards again I was very unimpressed and kind of disappointed i wasted my money on a box of it. I dont like the design and the jerseys/autos seem as secondary things behind the card design. I would give Artifacts a D+. I have 2 boxes of Score coming next week along with a box of UD1.. I have high hopes for UD1 and im primarily getting Score because its cheap but looks like it could still be fun to open...

Artifacts disappointing, Certified blah, Victory almost boring but the reds kept me interested, Score is looking great for the price.
