exactly, he only signed chris e paul very early in his rookie year (& only on 2 or 3 sets)
guess it was either too long or he liked the "C#3 Paul" sig better & switched to that exclusively
but no, its not rare at all

yeah...i noticed he has both versions on his SPA rookies...im trying to put together the 05-06 SPA Extra Limited Auto Patch Rookies /25 and just picked up the CP3, and the one i bought has the E and i found a normal version with E, but it looks like most are the normal sig, so im pretty happy with my purchase...

    He actually has three Auto's

    Full name Auto

Only on a few like this

    And the current one

The second one is rare as it is seen on a few cards , i would say the Chris E Paul sort of rare as it is limited to his early RC signings as the third one is his mainstream auto used since.
As for price i would not think it has affected with the diffrent sigs maybe in the future

i actually forgot about that one... indeed the auto without the #3 is most rare
i believe most (maybe as much as 2/3) of the SPA & SPx have chris e paul
& idk about anyone else but i prefer the more compact version of his early #3 auto's to his newer more spread out auto's
