I would love the idea of him going to Buffalo...Stafford, a pick...NOT Kassian...and I guess not Vanek...but other than Miller and Myers, anyone else is available...

i've heard rumblings in LA for this guy.Think calgary wants:simmonds, brown, schenn. The most recent has schenn, and simmonds going for iginla. If it does happen he will go to a contender with cap space--which leaves not many choices. TRADE SUTTER

i can see Iginla move to another Team
Calgary gets some nice assets in return.

Iginla plays the 2 years left on his contract with his new Team
and then returns to Calgary to finish his career there.

For those of you who think Calgary is going to trade for someone with an similar cap hit to Iggy's and is anywhere close to 30 years old, I think your crazy. If Jarome goes it will be for young dogs, and the rebuilding of the team will begin, but who knows with a bunch of Sutter's in there. I still can't believe they have jobs after last year, let alone this summer/this season.

Well tonight's performance certainly proved Iggy has gas left in the tank. Like others have said, he's 33 not 43. To answer the questions:
1.) Yes. Though I don't see it happening, I think it would benefit all parties in the long run. The Flames need to rebuild. Plain and simple. Kipper is aging, and past Iggy they don't have much else in general aside from maybe Bourque and Giordano.
2.) YES YES YES! I'd LOVE to see Iggy in Buffalo and if our GM wasn't so cheap, it might even be possible. Give them Pominville, another young player (Gerbe perhaps?) and a 1st or 2nd rounder. Only two prospects I'd love to keep are Luke Adam and Zack Kassian otherwise any other up and comers not currently with the team are available in my book.

If the Flames are desperate for cap space, then yes.
I think the Flames will regret it very VERY much if they trade him. He is a strong strong leader, and deserves another chance with the Flames IMO. I doubt the Flames will get any better if they trade him... Like a couple others have said, if Calgary trades Jarome, I believe as well, that it will be a repeat of what happened with Thornton...

    Well after last night...

No! 3 Goals, all skilled too? He does so much for the community also.
I would rather have him on the team than almost anyone! He's the face of our franchise... he just needs a good center.

If anyone should be shipped out of Calgary, it should be the Sutters and Jokinen!

as much as I love Iginla, and I do more than anyone. I would love to see us get a trade with LA done, and specifically the one proposed above i keep hearing about.

Simmonds is part of LA's core, he is not going anywhere. Schenn MIGHT be available but unlikely.

I don't see this happening with LA unless they gave up some true prospects in the AHL or juniors, no current roster guys.
