    Another Ebay issue

Okay, this is the first time I've had this happen to me. I received this message from Ebay this morning. I removed the seller's name and item:

"------ recently opened a cancel transaction case for an item your recently purchased: --------------
Reason for cancel transaction request: The seller sold the item to another buyer.

Seller comment: Im sorry I had another buyer that I thought was you that bought this card so i need to cancel the transaction... Can you please agree. This just means we both disagree over the transaction sorry about the confusion thanks"

So I'm confused - I put in a Best Offer that was accepted, but now I'm going to lose it because he sold it to another buyer.......is there anything I can do in this situation? It may have been an honest mistake on the seller's part, but I feel I'm getting stiffed.

    Thoughts?

I'm not sure but if you bought it he is the one breaking eBay's rules.

ya you can refuse, the cancellation..and he can't cancel it..

then you can contact eBay...he is not aloud to cancel a sale..if both parties not agreed..

Okay, I've figured out what happened. I'm blowing the seller's anonymity here, but I'm pretty peeved. On the evening of November 20th, the seller accepted my offer of $100 on this card:

The next morning, he sold the exact same card to another buyer for $160. Unbelievable.

At this point, I feel like refusing the cancellation and reporting him/leaving negative feedback. Am I justified, or should I just let it go?

I will refuse the cancellation. I'm okay with him not sending the card, but I feel like I need to make sure that negative feedback is left in this case.

It looks like he sold it to me, then realized he could get more from another buyer.
