I usually don't have a problem buying from people with low feedback if they look legit. If they have 100% as a buyer and their listing looks professional, I'm fine with it.

I think listing at .99 is free for the first 100 listings or something. Buy it now or best offer is .50 to list. Roughly speaking, I think they charge about 8% on auction style listings and 12% on buy it now.

Why doesn't Ebay explain it that easily. :) In your personal opinion, how high do you think an item like this would get if it started at $0.99 and looked professional? I've had quite a few trade offers, but that may be because they think they can get over on me like I'm afraid off. Should I up the value of what I get in trade for that reason, or does the trade value I'm looking for sound appropriate? Again, that's an opinion question.

I have no idea what it's worth. I would probably just put it up as a buy it now or best offer at around $1600 since that's what the other guy has it listed at for 30 days. Just field offers over that time period. If you get an offer you want to take, take it. If not, you've got some idea of what you could/should get and can go from there. Seems worth the 50 cents.

Avoid the fees by trying to sale it on here! There are a bunch of Bulls/Jordan collectors on here that will buy it.
If you are looking to get around $500 for it Im sure you can find a buyer quickly.
The best thing is that you dont have to worry about under-selling yourself on an auction.

Also, if you want to avoid the ebay fees just list as Buy It Now or best offer and dont accept anything less then your target price; minus fees.

I don't agree at all that you have to trade High End for High End - I often trade high end items for a bunch of low end stuff I need for my sets. Mine is as simple as it gets - what would it cost me to buy all those items?

Meaning if it's going to cost me $500 to buy the 50 cards I need for a set then what's the difference if I trade 1 $500 card for those 50 cards? The money is coming out of my pocket either way.

So my advice is to be very specific about sale value. Those "$300" in Pistons he has - would it really cost you $300 to buy them individually?

If it would - and he then offered another $200 in whatever - then I don't see the problem. Even if it is a Jordan Auto.

The player names don't matter - it's the pure out of pocket costs - if you would buy those $300 in Pistons cards, no matter how many, then whether you spend $300 in cash or use a high end Jordan is irrelevant.

That does sound like a decent idea. I'll have to convince the wife about that one. :)

Yeah, and I might go that way, but I might give it one go on ebay after what someone else said about the fees. Because if I get $500 for it cash, after fees (speculatory), then I could get at least $1000 BV in Pistons. :)

This is a pretty good example why BV has little or no significance in the hobby world anymore. I would never get rid of a $500 card to get a bunch of low-end cards because I know that I would never be able to get near $500 for the low-end cards so it would be a waste of $$. If you have a $500 Jordan, sell it and buy a couple mid/high-end Pistons cards.

    Examples:

I am sure there are many more Mid/High-End Pistons cards out there...

I would list it BIN/Best Offer at $1500 like suggested earlier and see what offers come. I absolutely under no circumstances would trade down a Jordan Auto for a large amount of lower end cards. No chance. See what offers come in, run with the best or hold out for more, and buy your PC cards.

Yeah, I'm really thinking about listing it. Does this site get as many look-sees as ebay for cards, or would I not get that many hits? And what would be the best way, either on here or on ebay, to let someone know that they have the best offer and if I don't get any other better offers by the end of the listing that they can resubmit the offer? Or would that be the wrong way to go around it? I don't want to accept an offer for $800 if I can get $1200 for it, know what I'm saying? Man, now I kind of wish I didn't pull this card. :)

If you are going to list it on the Bay make sure that you don't try and list it with a low # feedback acct. Honestly if the seller is sub 20 fb's then I don't even consider them legit, but hey that's just me.
