    Stan Musial SASE?

So I have sent to Musial with a SASE. Based on what I received back, it seems very possible that I would still got the autoed postcard even without a SASE. Anybody tried it without one?

hes in pretty poor health, i havent seen a lot of free successes coming back- and theres almost no way hes going to send something for free without a SASE- but very few athletes will

I get that. It just seemed so easy last time I sent to him and he was in poor health back then as well.

i think sending to any athlete/celeb without a SASE is just bad practice. Pretty sure the only thing you will accomplish doing this is wasteing stamps & possibly turning a good TTMer into a not so good TTMer

This and Stan is really hit or miss ttm. c/o home he has long return times which signals to me he lets it pile up and when it reaches a point ships them back out so not having a SASE may just get you buried beneath all the SASE returns. c/o STMinc. is rare hit and many times a miss so adding another obstacle can't help.

Considering his age, health, and generosity I would send the SASE if you really want to ensure a decent chance at success.

Agreed. You are asking a small favor from one of the greatest players of all time. The people asking for a sig should just pay the 44 cents themselves.
