lol really...
Defrauding the Government?? Kind of a reach there dont you think. Re-useing a stamp that has never seen the lite of day is defrauding the government? I payed for the stamp, Stamp was never used ( still inside my envelope to the athlete on my SASE) & its considered defrauding? Im not sure how the US Postal system feels about this & dont feel like researching it either. You can do that..
As for me criticizeing you, I'll be honest with you.. I feel we have a great community here in our TTM section. You could ask for addresses & advice all day long, I could careless, Thats why we are here but when you have the time to post but cant seem to take the 5 seconds to come back & say " Thanks"! Why would anyone want to help you?
When you spend another 5 seconds starting a thread about getting an autograph from a player accross the street & then nothing...... Not an update, Not anything.. You cant get back on & share a technique you used? Or say " Decided to give him his privacy instead" Nothing!
I havent drank any Hateraide with you but, its hard to be nice & just sit back when someone like yourself comes in here & does stuff like this. As many post as you make, Its easy to tell you enjoy being a part of it & thats great, but alittle forum courtesy will get you along way in my book..

Yeah, but then again if people make it a normal thing it could be much more than the 44 cents, but yeah it is a little drastic if they nailed someone for doing it once.

maybe i should have been alittle more clear in my initial post.
Only stamps i re-use are the ones that come in my RTS envelopes. Envelopes thats where NOT opened by the athletes & still have my SASE inside them, never touched by the P.O. or anyone, other then myself.
wasnt asking about re-useing stamps that where not canceled, but still delivered.
my bad..

It's all good. I wasn't exactly sure what you had meant. I usually just leave the unused stamps from my returned SASEs on them and just reuse the entire SASE for my next TTM request.

see i thought about this but, i like to keep my return envelopes ( not sure why) with the players name & address i used.
so do you use the SASE for the same player, or send it off to a different player?
When i write out my SASE i put the players last name & address in the return address portion of my SASE.
for example, If you got back a RTS from say, Sandy Koufax, would you then re-use your SASE & throw that envelope into another envelope addressed to Joe Dumars?
I have thought about this but always wondered what the athlete might think if he saw " Koufax, xxxx address " on an return envelope.

i dont put any return address on my SASE's, just my address...so my SASE's are interchangeable so to speak

yes this was unclear, I read the "cutting off" part and assumed you would reuse the outer stamp. Sorry for jumping on you.
I solve this problem by using my address as the mailing address AND the return address on my SASEs. Therefore all my SASEs are the same, so I just take it out of the RTS envelope and put it in my next request.
